Monday 19 February 2018
We will start the event tomorrow morning with Linaro CEO George Grey’s keynote where a number of key announcements will be made. We will then continue the day with hacking sessions for the Linaro teams and sessions on OPNFV, Arm64 and OpenSDK among other things.
Tuesday 20 February 2018
On Tuesday morning keynote speaker Mark Hambleton from Arm will talk about the world of devices connected to the cloud. Mark’s keynote will be followed by another keynote speaker from Arm - Mingfei Huang - who will look at AI and how to support it across different embedded computing hardware. These keynotes will be followed by various sessions on topics such as Trusted Firmware, Big Data, Android common kernel and AOSP.
Wednesday 21 February 2018 - Ecosystem Day
Wednesday is Ecosystem Day, where leading Arm vendors, end users and the open source development community in Hong Kong come together to discuss the latest products, developments and open source software support. You can expect a showcase of Arm-Powered solutions and sessions on all aspects of the Arm ecosystem, including datacenter, edge networking, storage, HPC and Automotive. We have two keynote speakers, starting with Leendert van Doorn from Microsoft who will talk about Microsoft Azure and the implications of operating at hyper-scale. Leendert will be followed by Tomas Evensen from Xilinx who will present a keynote on platforms enabling the future of Embedded Machine Learning. Thursday 22 February 2018
Thursday will start with keynote speaker Kenneth Lee from HiSilicon who will talk about why commerical organisations should join the Open Source community. Kenneth’s keynote will be followed by Shane Coughlan with guest speaker Lucien Cheng-hsia Lin who will discuss the state of governance in Open Source. Following these keynotes we have sessions on a range of topics, including LAVA, OpenStack, Device tree and a BOF on AI and Machine Learning.
Friday 23 February 2018
The first keynote on Friday will be presented by Dileep Bhandarkar from Qualcomm who will analyse emerging trends in the Data Center. This keynote will be followed by the last keynote of HKG18 - Dr Laura Dekker who will talk about advanced computation from an artist’s perspective. As always we will finish the week on a high with Demo Friday where attendees will get to see the very latest in Arm and Opensource technology.
