I spent a decade working for a small company on an embedded OS and JITting Java virtual machine targeting a variety of embedded devices (some ARM, some not; some Linux, some not), before joining ARM in 2008. I've spent the last few years working on ARM's models of cores and platforms (again, JIT-based). Open source has always been in the background of what I've been doing; it's good to be able to bring it to the foreground...
