Background

Kate has over 20 years of silicon enablement, software product planning and release experience from developing products for IBM, Motorola, Freescale and Canonical.  Well over half of those years she has been actively involved in managing teams making contributions to the linux and gnu ecosystem.  For the last couple of years she was release manager for Ubuntu.
