Linaro Connect has a packed agenda starting at 8.30am on Monday and finishing at 6.00pm on Friday. You should therefore arrive on Sunday night and leave on Saturday to attend the whole event.
The nearest airport is Hong Kong International, which is approximately 30 minutes to the Gold Coast Hotel.
On arrival, proceed to Arrival Hall B where you will find the Sino Hotel Group kiosk. They are very helpful and friendly and will help you determine the best way to get to the hotel. Its most likely they will recommend a taxi, and they can also provide you with Chinese text versions of the hotel address.
If you still want to try things on your own, the following are guidelines:
1) Taxi: Once in the arrival hall follow the exit signs for taxis. Once at the exit you will need to take one of the Green taxi's which are for the New Territories. From the airport to the hotel, fares should be around HK$250.00 per single-trip.
2) Limousine Service: You can also contact the hotel to arrange a Limousine service, which can be cost effective if several people are arriving at the same time:
3) Car Hire: Parking at the hotel will be limited and costly. Further, the nature of Linaro Connect events means there is little requirement to hire a car.
If you require a Visa letter to enter Hong Kong, ensure you provide precise details of your requirements when you register. We aim to send all invitation letters within 2 weeks of registration, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org if you have not yet received it.
Visitors to Hong Kong do not require a China visa, and for many countries you will simply file for a temporary visa upon arrival at the airport. However, we strongly recommend you contact your local government office to confirm precise details.
