Linaro Connect USA 2013 continued on Tuesday October 29 in Santa Clara, California. On Tuesday Linaro had multiple keynote speakers. The day started off with the “Fireside Chat with Frank Frankovsky and Vijay Rao”, both from Facebook. The director of the Linaro Enterprise Group (LEG), Andrea Gallo, hosted this discussion about server trends and requirements. Linaro CEO George Grey then made a short appearance toannounce the launch of OpenDataPlane™ (ODP). This has been begun by industry leaders in the Linaro Networking Group (LNG) collaborating to develop and host a truly open source, cross-platform application programming interface (API) for data plane applications on www.opendataplane.org. Jarmo Hillo, Head of Processor Technology at Nokia Solutions and Networks, rounded out the keynotes with a talk on High End Telecom Networking.

Linaro Connect begins on Wednesday by coming together with ARM TechCon briefly for the keynote from ARM’s CEO, Simon Segars. He will speak about his vision for transformative technology in the Internet of Things (IoT), data centers and mobile.
